Thanks to their thermo-regulator and breathable effect, RELAXSAN MEDICALE COTTON products shall also be used in summer. Indeed, veins tend to swell more in summer than in other seasons because of higher temperatures; as a consequence, greater elastic compression is needed.

Medical stockings are normally prescribed by specialised physicians.
Class 2 – 23-32 mmHg is moderate compression.
For slight chronic venous insufficiency, thrombophlebitis with and without edema, post-sclerotherapy, after selective out-patient treatment of varices and stripping, varicose veins during pregnancy, prophylaxis of thrombosis and embolism.
Compression acts on the ankle and gradually decreases to 70% on the calf and 40% on the thight, for a correct blood circulation.
IS ESSENTIAL TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE of the garments that patients should wear in order for a correct administration of mmHg. The size shall be chosen according to the ankle circumference and not to the clothing size.

RECOMMENDATIONS
