I-SPARK i-Size is a 2-in-1 car seat for children 100–150 cm tall (from approximately 3.5 to 12 years/15–36 kg), and is compliant with the latest R129 i-Size standard. Because it’s secured using the car’s three-point seat belt, installation of the car seat is quick and easy. This is a lightweight car seat (4.5 kg) that’s easy to take from car to car. I-SPARK i-Size’s backrest can be easily tailored to the car’s bench seat – the car seat will sit snugly against it, increasing travel safety.
I-SPARK i-Size provides effective protection for the child when travelling. It has been thoroughly tested under very stringent conditions, including in head-on and side-on collisions at speeds that were increased by 28%. The tests carried out at higher speeds enable more-accurate checking of the seat shell’s resistance (including to cracking), because it is affected by 50% more kinetic energy.
The car seat features a reinforced three-layer headrest with the H-GUARD system. The additional layers in the headrest disperse the forces acting on the child in a collision. They dissipate the energy generated in the collision, protecting the youngster’s head and neck. The headrest can be adjusted using one hand, and it can be easily set in one of 10 positions. The I-SPARK i-Size car seat also features SPS, which is reinforced side protection that absorbs the energy generated during a collision. It provides good protection for the child’s shoulders and spine.
The car seat’s seat is covered in soft material. The cover can be easily removed and washed. In addition, the car seat has comfortable armrests, while the seat itself is large, meaning even bigger kids will fit.
* The car seat can be used without the backrest as a pad for older children who are 140–150 cm tall. If your child is already uncomfortable in the car seat, but the car seat belt doesn’t yet pass over the shoulder and middle of the chest, detach the backrest and use the pad. It has been tested and ensures safety.
