In 1982 rucomfy began with Geoff Snr and mum Brenda in Blackburn, the heart of Lancashire’s textile industry. They started by hand-making pet beds and were sold on markets with great success; in 1990 beanbags were introduced – later to become the main focal point of rucomfy.
